I bought an air conditioner in May’14 and had it installed by a technician sent by Voltas. When it was being installed, we checked with the technician if the exhaust unit facing the empty plot will pose a problem once a house is built there…he confirmed it will still work fine even after there is a wall next to it. Now, there is a new house constructed facing the exhaust unit giving it hardly 4 inches for ventilation…which is affecting the cooling which will eventuallly damage the compressor. I am looking to get the unit turned around, however, I was told there will be an installation charge, by the technician who originally installed it and Voltas customer care. They have denied all support and confirmed that the installation fee will not be waived. I should not be paying for something which is not my fault but the technician’s (from Voltas). Require your intervention, please oblige.
