Location/place: New Delhi
Name of company/service: Yatra.com
I am Dr. Kunal Yadav, a senior resident surgeon at AIIMS, New Delhi.I booked a return flight from New Delhi to Pune on Yatra.com on 25/07/12. The flight from Delhi to Pune on 09/08/12 was Spice Jet flight (SG-219) which was priced at Rs. 2400(all inclusive fare) and the return flight on 15/08/12 was priced at Rs. 4787(all inclusive). So, in total the fare was Rs. 7187. But when I booked the flight, it showed that the amount deducted was Rs. 10,997. I called the Spice Jet customer support multiple times and they said that they could do nothing about it. The agents I talked to were Mr. Mukesh, Ms Pinki, Mr. Dharmendra Kumar and Mr. Vipin Kumar. They were completely indignant to the complaint and were of no help at all. Their argument was that while the first page shows a lesser total fare, the subsequent page showed a greater fare. My point is – While all the fares given in the first page were complete fares, its only for this SpiceJet flight that the total fare was given to be Rs. 2400( Base fare- Rs. 2400 and Taxes as Rs. 0) and it was Yatra.com which suggested this combination as the cheapest available option. This, I think is complete cheating and deceit on their part to fool their customers by showing a low fare and then charging much more actual fare. If the fare had increased, (as they claim it had), why did the site not reflect that even on the next day (26/07/12)? I have the clicked pictures of the window which clearly shows the price their flight shows on 26/07/12 as well.
Please look into this matter and bring me justice.
Thank You
