I booked an Air ticket on 12th May, 2012 from Mumbai to Dehradun(Air India India – AI-601, AI9819) through Yatra.com. Booking ref. No. 12051220483. Flight was scheduled on 29th June. On 28th I was informed by Yatra.com that my flight AI 9819 from Delhi to Dehradun has been cancelled but flight AI 601 Mumbai to Delhi is on time. Since it was a connecting flight, I called yatra.com customer care to know about the alternatives and refund amount so that I could look for other options. I had to talk to 5-6 different executives most of them disconnected my call in between and wasted my 4 hours on phone. None of them could tell me what amount they will refund me for my cancelled flight. Last statement I got from them was that Airline would be able to tell me about refund amount. Hence i asked Airline about the same, they gave me a document stating that my flight has been cancelled from airline side and asked me to send the same to yatra.com. I sent scanned copy of that document to yatra.com but they didn’t respond on that. when i called them, they said this proof is not sufficient. I have to go to airport again and airline will have to write on it that I should be given full refund. I did the same. Air India representative gave me a document stating that I am eligible for full fare refund from DEllhi to Dehradun. I sent this document to yatra.com. They did not refund the full fare amount. They refunded only 1515 Rs. against the ticket of Rs. 4899. They forfeited the base fare. My friend booked the same ticket through Makemytrip but he received full refund(including base fare) from them. Now I feel so much humiliated and cheated by Yatra.com I seek for some justice from this forum.
