I have taken my child for Admission & Entrance Test on 18 March 2012 to Sri Chaitanya Techno School, Suchitra Branch-Day Scholar Campus for class VIIth & met the co-ordinator. He explained about the school & fee structure. Upon seeing the premises I felt I would take some time to join my son, but they said that there are limited seats and would be better to take the Application and complete the same and submit on the same day to reserve a seat for my son. I asked about the entrance test but they said it will be conducted in April as the teacher’s are busy with their class final exams & portions.Since, they said that it is compulsory for me to pay Rs.3000/- as admission fee & Rs.200/- as prospectus fee to submit the application and reserve the seat for an entrance test I have remitted the same in cash vide receipt no: NG/10354. I was expecting for a call from the school in the month of April, but never received any to make my son go through the entrance exam. I was told by my neighbour’s and other friends that the school is not bothered to conduct any test and would take the students just like that as they are keen to fill as many new students as possible. Also, I heard that there was an issue about the Xth class state rank’s in NTV that these techno schools are buying Question papers in advance and would prepare the students on the same lines to get the state top 1st rank’s. Knowing all these I have enquired the same with the co-ordinator, but as usual he disagreed about all these matters and said they are rumours. I went back to the principal stating that I would like to cancel the admission of my child into your school as he got border marks in his VIth class hindi language and the teacher’s of the previous school wanted him to continue so that they could cope him up for the coming year, Principal gave me shock saying that even if your child has failed in 1 or 2 subjects still we will admit him into VIIth class in our school & give him more room to improve upon the subjects by giving special attention and I will specifically mention to the teacher’s about him. I said madam I will have to loose my refundable deposit of Rs.10,000/- and 2 monthly fee as per the rules of the previous school as it would be too late informing them about taking out the student from their school, then the Principal committed that she will give me a discount of 25% in the total fee of Rs.32000/- for VIIth class in Sri Chaitanya school which will compensate my loss at the previous school. Listening to this I understood that she is very anxious about joining new students into sri chaitanya at any cost. This gave me a clear picture about the school and the management. I have given her a letter dated 28 April 2012 stating that I need a refund of the amount of Rs.3000/- for which she committed that she will do it as a special case by sending mails to the concern departments. She specifically called the accounts lady and confirmed that she will complete the process and call me on my mobile as well as asked me to give time till June 2nd as they will be busy in admissions during May till June. When I went back to the school on 2nd June I was shocked to see that the Principal resigned from Sri Chaitanya school and a new principal has taken her place. Now, the new Principal committed that she would look into the matter and call me back in a week. I went to her exactly after a week i.e.,on 11th June and she confirms that they cannot refund the admission fee as per their rules which is no where mentioned on any of the prospectus.Shockingly my wife found the previous Principal joined in Narayana concept school which is just besides to sri chaitanya school. Upon confirming she said that they have to refund will do that if we perceive by visiting many number of times. This is the CONCEPT of today’s CONCEPT Schools in Andhra Pradesh.I wanted my hard earned money to be paid back immediately and also mention to every parent to be aware of these schools admission tricks..
