Cheap quality product sold by Amazon.in and now taking no responsibility.

I bought an external casing for my brand new 1TBhard disk. I received the product on 18 Nov as soon as I plugged in the USB cable after connecting the hard disk in the casing, it burnt the logic board of my hard disk. Thus by using a cheap quality and waste product from amazon I lost my hard disk worth rs 5400. When told this to amazon, they said contact the seller because he sold the product. Why should I contact the seller when I have bought it from amazon.in ?? I don’t know who was the seller, what I know is that I bought it from amazon.in directly, so if some damage occurs due to their fake product they ought to pay for it. After mailing repeatedly they just offered me a 500 rs gift coupon to reimburse my 5400 rs loss. But I declined it. They ought to reimburse me the complete loss.
