Fraudulent dealers and “Hundai challenge” by Hundai motors

Hi,

I was tricked by one of Hundai motors officer 5 months back but now i got time to share with you all.

There was a scheme by Hundai called Hundai challenge. If we take the test drive of Hundai vehicle and choose not to purchase it over some competitors car, Hundai will pay the customer certain amount as part of challenge.

I took the test drive of one of hundai car but it did not suit my need.So i purchased a car from its Competitor. After some days i received a call from Hundai officer, requesting me to share the details of my purchase so that Hundai can pay me certain amount as part of Hundai challenge scheme. I liked the way he promised me that i would receive some amount. I shared the details over email.

I didn’t receive a call from him for next one month.

Then i decided to meet that officer after a month, it was late evening.He said,his boss just left office but a cheque is ready to hand over to me.He told me to come some other day to collect the cheque.

I called him multiple times before going to his office, but he kept on saying he is out with customer, sometimes disconnected my calls,sometimes told me to come in next week.

Then I met the same officer after 3 months for getting my advance and Hundai challenge money, he starts humiliating me saying how can you claim such amount when you did not purchase any car from them. We will not give anything. With such humiliation, i took my advance money back and returned home.

I just felt really humiliated that day and i thought it’s probably the way officer earn money. It was very small amount though.very pity.

Today, i thought of sharing such incident with all so that ,if you are promised similar schemes ever in your life, always check its validity rather getting humiliated later.
