I used AirteI broadband services in the Pimple Saudagar locality, Pune City for around 3 months until end of July 2014. I moved to a new apartment in a new locality and asked Airtel to disconnect my services and send me a final bill for payment. Despite this I have been getting bills for services that I really am not using. When I call up customer care, they ask me to pay the outstanding amount and then only will they entertain my complaint for a service disconnection. 2 months back I got a sms that I need to pay outstanding to continue the services. So ideally in case of no payment, Airtel should have stopped the services, but they did not and they have just been piling up bills for last 4 months.
Today afternoon I got a call from (+91-9970005720) a person posing as a lawyer (Manoj Shinde – If I heard him correct) that he is ready to file a case against me and a warrant will be served to me by 2 constables tomorrow (06/11) and I will be in deep trouble. So better I make payment of whatever the outstanding amount is. The language used over the call was threatening and intimidating. I was busy at the time when he called so I could not have a prolonged conversation with him. When I called him back later on he said that he is driving and I should call him back later.
Airtel – Is this guy hired by you? Advise if this is true? Why should I part with my hard earned money if it is you and your customer support who have not taken action on my requests? Go and listen to the conversations that you record of your customers (for training and quality purposes) and tell me if I did not come to you and ask for disconnect several times. You may also look at customer notes that I asked the Customer Care executive to update, every time I called!
I have sent an email to your ids – [email protected] and [email protected] seeking answers.
