I have been Vodafone subscriber for past 2 years. Off lately I have faced major network issues however I still continued with the service. Now, out of necessity and frustration I am forced to write this complaint.
I had recharged my account with Rs. 100 on 20th October 2014 and I had previously recharged my account with Rs. 147 data usage pack on 25th September 2014. However, on the occasion of Diwali being on 23rd October, 2014, it slipped from my mind that my Data pack got over.
Surprisingly, there was absolutely no message confirmation from vodafone that my services is getting over. The whole day, my balance was deducted from my account on data usage and I didnot get to know.
Vodafone is under the mandate according to TRAI to intimate any deduction either by USSD or SMS about my deduction. Yet, neither did I receive any intimation of my services getting over, nor did any intimation by USSD was received on my continuous deduction of balance over the whole day of October 23, 2014.
When I thought of complaining with the 198 service, I see the junior level customer relation executive are not capable of communicating in Hindi or English or having the basic understanding of the same. Because of this reason I had to wait for 30 minutes in totality to wait for my call to be connected to some senior member. After the wait, I was not provided with any complaint number.
Such practices are unfair trade practices adopted by service provider. I see a lot of complaints against vodafone against such unfair deductions. Such issues if not resolved then I will be forced to undertake class action suit against vodafone in near future.
In light of such circumstances, me along with my family and friends situated in different parts of the Country will be opting for the option of mobile number portability since it is readily available now.
If asked about my review, my experience with vodafone has been a terrible one.
