MicroMax: Bad product quality and worst support

Let me start with a good note…I had one Micromax Q5 phone, which I used from 2009/10 probably..it worked for 3-4 years like a charm. No issue at all not even with the battery and phone was also great which I bought for around 6k back then.
With such a good experience I never looked for any other than the Micromax, when I had planned for Smart/Android phone…in the month June 2013 bought one Canvas HD A116 spending around Rs.13000.
1st Look of the phone was great and performance was also good.
Except loud speaker and hearing speaker sound level and quality was poor.
I went to Micromax service center M/S Sabsonic multiple time to correct the problem…once they have reinstalled the Android software but didnt corrected the sound quality/volume level issue.
I was told by Mr.Babu da of SABSONIC service center, that it requires speaker/part replacement but the said part is not available with them and I need to deposit the phone so they will indent the spare from company and repair it and this process would take 10-15days. I didnt wanted to keep my phone at service center for such long because of which Mr.Babu told to keep in touch with service center and check availability of part if arranged for getting phone repaired without holding it.
Afterwards I called them for update, went couple of time to check spare availability but in vein. In between lost track and in the month of June’2014 I had no other way than to deposit it for repair as my 1 year warranty support for phone was about to expire on 10th June 2014.
I have submitted my phone on 7th of June 2014 at M/S SABSONIC (Micromax service center) (Job request number E030435-0614-10098239). Till today it is 2 Month 14days (76days) has gone by but I am yet to receive my phone back. The only update I have received one call last to last week, from Mr.Babu saying phone is yet to come from Micromax HO and it will take some more time.
Today when I contacted Micromax Consumer care number (18605008286), someone Mr.Ravi spoke to me such a way that I committed some crime by buying Micromax phone, I was told that above Jobsheet has been closed and a new jobsheet (E030435081411421106) has been created on 9th August 2014 by the Service center M/S Sabsonic. When I asked for reason why previous Job sheet was closed he refused and directed me to call Service center to get latest update and reason behind. I asked if I can speak to their quality/customer advocacy team but denied and was told no such option is available in Micromax. Lastly I asked for my complaint number (MMX2108141827).
Again today 21st August, I called M/S Sabsonic and spoke to Mr.Babu for update when can I get my phone, I was told it may take till this month end.
Neither I have received any appropriate answer why the previous job sheet was closed without inoforming me or resolving the issue or giving me a copy of job sheet.

I am tired of seeking update and waiting for my phone back. I am really started feeling guilty for buying Micromax an Indian phone spending such amount…instead I could have bought an International brand like Samsung/Nokia for peace of mind.

What can I ask, can they compensate this effort spent for getting my own phone back after repair?
Can they give me my money back? kindly help.

  1. Surprisingly…even after my complaint on 22nd August, today on 8th September I am yet to receive my Phone back nor I have received any feedback.
How pathetic you can expect a Mobile phone manufacturer support can be??
If I had any option to post Ads on Television/Paper media I would have done it.
But I will circulate it on Social Media as far I can.

  2. How pathetic customer support can be.
I just wonder, until this experience my perception towards the MicroMax brand and company was completely different and good….this has changed my thought altogether.

Service center experience worst…your support mechanism worst….your customer call center experience worst….I have never ever thought buying an Indian manufacturer mobile phone may give such terrible pain/headache.

Yesterday I called the toll free 18605008286 number once again, spoke to Yogeshwari at 6pm on 8th September14, I was told phone is under testing now and it would take another 7days to test. I requested to her to allow me to speak anyone senior who is response for service delivery and can answer my queries related to the pathetic service experience which I am facing. I was told by Yogeshwari that I will get a call back from senior personnel of Micromax service team within next 1 hour but no one called…what else can you expect.
