I have bought the Sony Xperia Z2 on 7th of July. I saw the instructions where it was giving it could resist water and is a water resist phone. So just on the same day i bought my phone I just sprinkled some water on it. It was all going good till one hour and then suddenly my touch stopped working and just after few minutes later my phone’s display turned to black color and stopped working. And then has stopped just on next day on 8th of July i contacted the authorized service center of Sony in Bhopal situated at Mansarover Complex named Prompt Services, they said that there is no problem sir we will replace your phone and give you the new one since the Sony Xperia Z series comes under 6 months of ADP (Accidental Damage Protection). So I submitted my phone to them on 19th of July because I was out of the town on my vacations. So on 19th July they said that we will replace your phone within 15 days (Maximum) and they clicked some photos and submitted to their online service center site and they said that your phone will be verified through these pictures from our head office weather it will be eligible for ADP or not and they also said that we assure you that your device will be verified. Then after 3 days on 22nd of July they called me and said that we cannot replace your device as our company has stopped ADP service for phones purchased after 1st of July. This was a shock for me as i have bought this phone for 47,000 Rs on EMI’S and they said that they can’t replace my phone i mean this was my first ever smartphone and they easily said that I have to pay for repair. Later I inquired they said that have to pay 60%-70% of that 47,000 Rs to repair my old damaged device not to replace it which is whooping 32,000 Rs I mean this was so ridiculous for an average person like me. I mean if Sony company has stopped its ADP service on 1st of July then why an authorized Sony service center peoples don’t know about it even after 20 days this is so ridiculous. And now they want me to pay 32,000 Rs for a damaged phone which is not even 1 month old. PLEASE SIR I WANT YOUR HELP PLEASE THIS IS REALLY A BIG TROUBLE FOR ME, as i have to pay regular EMI’s for 8 months of Rs. 3,800 PLEASE HELP ME. What to do where to go i just can’t understand please.
