Last month, I got my resume rewritten by Naukri.com where in I paid Rs 5000/- for the following services.
– Resume Writing
– Background Check
– Covering Letter
– Resume Display for 6 months
It took almost a month to fanalise my resume and finally around mid of Sept 2013, I gave green signal to Naukri.com about my satisfaction on resume writing ad cover letter.
I think in next 2-3 days time, they uploaded my resume and send the resume to many other consultants.
On 17th Sept 2013, I got a call from Clicks2resume.com, informing that they have got the details from Naukri.com and will help me is arranging interviews. That executive was praising me like anything. He told me that I have to register in their website wherein I have to upload my resume and the charges will be very nominal i.e. Rs. 1050/-. As I was busy, I told him to call me at 8 PM and I got the call at 8 PM.
Then he guided me in their website to register and I paid Rs. 1050/- with my credit card. Till this time, I was not aware of what is there for me next and I was completely unaware about the trap.
After I paid Rs. 1050/-, I was told to hold the phone for almost 10 minutes and then some other executive called Nitin (I really hate to use the word executive here rather they should be called SOB or Bas..rd) started talking to me. He informed me that there are some good opportunities suitable for my profile for which I have to go for background verification. When I asked whether this is part of Rs 1050/- which I have already paid, he told me that I have to pay Rs. 1790/- for background check.
I informed him that Naukri.com has already done the background verification for which I have already paid to them, so there is no need for me to go for background verification. He out rightly said that the background check what I did through Naukri.com is bullshit and the one he is going to do is the valid one as this is done by some American agency.
I said it is purely unethical on your behalf to divulge this activity now after I completed my registration by paying Rs. 1050/-. Nitin did not have any answer but argued with me to go for this check else my registration has no meaning.
I very clearly said Nitin that had your other executive who got me trapped by paying 1050/- for registration, had he informed me that there are other charges like background check, I would not have at all gone through at all. I asked Nitin that at any cost I can not go ahead with background check and if any other things which are there there after which I do not know. I asked Nitin too cancel the registration and repay back Rs. 1050/-. Nitin out rightly denied this and said that he can not do anything but has to speak to his senior. I threatened him saying that I will drag them to court if I do not get back Rs. 1050/-. Nitin told me that tomorrow, we will discuss further.
Next day again Nitin called me during day time and I told him to call me at 8 PM. At 7.40 PM I got the call but I was firm in my mind that I am not going to pay any single penny. Nitin forwarded the phone to his superior and he also as usual did not agreed to pay me back Rs. 1050/-. I then mentally decided that I should not do any other business in this regard with such agencies.
There after I am getting phone calls for further services but I am not entertaining.
The most interesting event took place just on 10th October where again another person called me from clicks2resume for the same matter but this time with a different approach. I asked that SOB that whether I have to pay anything for this. He said I do not have to pay nothing but to register again with another centre code. But this time it is for the services like when I get a job, I have to pay Rs. 7870 but presently I do not have to pay a single penny. He took me through their website and at some point told me to indicate under remarks column that payment amount is zero. It is just for confirmation of payment.
Then he took me through and at some screen, the amount was showing Rs. 7870/- and he told me to key in my credit card details.
I was furious and did not entered any such details. But he was literally begging me to put the details but I stood firm and told him to discontinue discussion.
Again 2 days back, someone called me from their side and I just disconnected the phone.
What I want to tell you intelligent people that please do not fall prey to such people and especially any calls coming from NCR zone. I do not want to brand that all NCR people are bad but people like this makes us feel that all NCR people are cheat and cheap.
Stay away from them.
Anyway, I have started legal actions against them and the legal notice will be sent soon.
