Airtel Postpaid Corporate Mobile Connection – SIM Activation endless wait

Location/place: Bangalore

Name of company/service: Airtel – Post Paid Connection Corporate Plan

I had purchased a mobile connection # 9900290088 from Airtel outlet in Vijayanagar, Bangalore on 1st August 2013 by providing all the documents. I was told the address verification would happen next day & SIM would be activated by 5th. However when no one came to verify the address, I contacted the outlet on 6th Aug & I was told that address verification had failed & someone from verification team had called my mobile & that it was not reachable. None of this was true as my current postpaid connection 9900023420 from airtel also has the same billing address & it was verified 3 yrs back when I got that connection. Also I didnt get any call from verification team either on 2nd or 3rd Aug. The outlet was kind enough to escalate this & arrange for address re-verification at a time of my choice. The next day 7th, the address was verified both at my residence & office. I was expecting the activation to happen on 8th. Since it didnt happen, I called outlet again on 8th evening & I was told this would happen by 9th. Again on 9th it didnt happen & was told that it would be done by the end of 9th Aug. Finally without success in activation, I went to the outlet on 10th & was told that activation would be done anytime of the day & that I would get a call. Since it didnt happen by 7 pm, I went to the outlet again & I was given another SIM 8991450004 025611427 for the same mobile no requested & I was told that it is a technical problem which would be resolved by tuesday 13th Aug. I dont know if this problem would ever get resolved. It has been 10days without any help from airtel.

    Hi,
    I have taken one postpaid sim card bearing number #7259699802 one week ago. Done with the address verification yesterday 6 PM. They said number will get activated in next 15 minutes,but till now it is not get activated. now No network shown after inserting the sim card. I called customer care twice but they are not providing any information. i haven’t expected this from no.1 service providers like airtel. kindly help me out to activate the simcard.

    This is regarding that Postpaid connection for Dongle no. 9003025534 bought on 11.09.14 in Airtel Store – Burkit Nagar, T Nagar, Chennai

    Verification was made on 11.09.2014
    Received an sms in my alternate mobile no. (9962434942) that Verification of Address Unsuccessful.

    Why I received the above sms Don’t know the reason…..

    I had my prepaid airtel Karnataka ported to Postpaid Airtel Maharashtra, Almost all the formalities were done. I got a call on my old sim for tele verification. They said that my sim card will be activated in 4hours but it hasn’t activated even after 30 hours. I got a msg yesterday night saying address verification is unsuccessful, why is that so. I need the sim activated soon, as i haven’t even recharged my old sim as i may lose the balance if the porting takes place suddenly. So i need help soon.
