Today I have receive a SMS from Bharti Airtel that bharti airtel has issued a legal notice to us no non payment of their dues amounting to 1157.00 for the number which we have never used,
the number was activated on 9th Feb 2013, with a promise that internet on this will be free till 2 GB,
when we find out with Airtel customer care, they told us that the internet is not free on this number, immediately we had logged a complain on 24th Feb 2013 to stop the number (any one can check the call/log record at airtel customer care.) and after that we had never used that number (this also can be confirmed by airtel).
instead of stopping the number their executive was continuously calling us to continue the number and also forcing us to convert into pre-paid, we had clearly told them stop the number and send is us the bill as on 24th feb, but they have not stopped sending the bills, the same time i had requested airtel to send us reduce bill from 9th feb to 24th feb, but till date no final/corrected bill has received , instead today i received the SMS on legal notice.
in my house all of us are having airtel connection and we are using these number since last 13 years, we had never defaulted in terms of payment.
this is clearly a wrong selling from airtel part.
Please look into the issue, we have no issue in paying but it should be a genuine bill of used period.
