A sloppy way of service (quite uneexpected) from Apllo Hospitals, Kolkata namely Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, Kolkata. My brother Debopriyo Nag was admitted to your hospital over a minor case of stomach pain. Your doctor suggested operation which none of the other doctors / internal stone centers ever suggested. When we wanted to take our patient back home the behaviour of your nurses and administration was pathetic. Not only did they charge for a full day for the patient leaving at around 5 p.m. they threw him out of the bed while he was waiting for his father to arrive. My mother was deeply interrogated over where we were taking him too. Your authorities refused to remove the saline connection to his body and asked us to take him back with that connection still on. On repeated plea the nurses removed the saline with such haste that it caused immense pain to my brother and his hand is still aching. You billed us Rs. 16000 for a day for tests, stay (for 2 days) and medicine while at the same time took away all the medicine and unused injections for usage of other patients while leaving. Moreover, you did not give us back the Ultrasonographic and other test reports that were available. What you asked us is to visit the hospital on Monday! Damn, Monday? for the reports available with you? Do you think of us as morons while citing your hospital policies of giving the reports only after 4 days of release? Are you going to breed them or what? We have paid everything in full and we deserve the test reports the day we leave the hospital. You cannot deny us the right if we do not oblige to your demand of getting my brother operated. I am surely going to take up this case to the consumer forum and if required to higher judicial authorities. Such a behaviour is highly unorthodox and unwarranted! Your misbehavior and unprofessional attitude would not be tolerated.
