Company has issued me a cheque dated 21.05.2013 for Rs.4022.00 after adjusting the maturity value of my Non-covertible Debentures to loan account.Cheque is drawn on Axis Bank Limited and it was delivered to me on 25.05.2013.It was informed to me on 21.05.2013 that even though cheque for Rs.4022 is ready,there are no authorised signatories to sign the cheque.It was got signed and given to me on 25.05.2013.I deposited it in my ICICI bank account same day
This cheque was presented for payment on 28.05.2013 which was dishonored by Axis Bank Limited for the reason”insufficient funds”
I have sent a notice to the branch to give me DD or Cash or Pay order and return charges of Rs.113.35,interest from 21.05.2013@ 24% and damages of Rs.1000 for causing me mental harassment and torture.Company officials are repeatedly asking me to present the cheque once again or hand over the returned cheque to them and they will arrange to issue a DD.But,not willing to pay other charges
