Refund of Processing Fee for Home Loan

Name of company/service: DHFL

Hello,

I have applied for Housing loan from DHFL and after providing all the required documents, DHFL has rejected my loan but have already deposited my processing fees Cheq for 5618/-rs. after repeated follow up they have informed me that Processing fees is not refunded. Can you please let me know if a Bank/Financial Company can take the processing fees with out or before sanctioning the loan.
