On 21 februar 2013 the Hitourscompany booked us an overnightstay till 24 februar 2013 in hotel Seven Seventeen Old wing in Darjeeling.
We were not able to stay in that hotel due to the fungus all over the bathroom.
We couldn’t even open the door of the bathroom because of the irritating and breathtaking smell of the fungus all over the bathroom.
This is unhealthy !!! That old wing needs to be shut down, to be closed.
So the first part of our complain is the fact that Darjeeling hotel SevenSeventeen rents rooms that are a danger for human health.
Due to that problem, we were obliged to move to another hotel (first night we stayed out of necissity in the new wing of the hotel, equally not clean but not as worse). We had to pay the 2 overnightstays our self, so extra costs while we had payed the whole tour in advance to hitours.
We stayed in Hotel Alice and had to pay extra 1719Rs for 2 nights. We have searched for the cheapest and clean alternative. Hitours refused to pay those overnightstays. They offered us a dinner instead. Because we had some more problems during the tour.
So our requests are :
– investigation of the Sevenseventeen hotel – closing old wing ?
– paying the 1719Rs for extra costs hotel.
We have taken some pictures of the fungus in the bathroom. We can send them to your service if you give us a mailadress.
We can also send you by scanning the bill of the hotel.
