Unethical Billing after discontinuation of number

Location/place: Aurangabad

Name of company/service: Reliance CDMA

I have discontinued use of postpaid mobile number form Reliance (no. 9372705575) and paid all the charges till that date, and informed the person on billing counter regarding this. That perticular billing counter was closed that month only. The bill on my mobile number was generated despite of number being closed and after a cummulative amount was generated, now I have been tourtured by the company for payment and being threatened for raising court complaint. In this era where consumer is to be treated gracefully how cheap things are being done by these companies. Can I expect help form the forum in this regard.
