Name of company/service: EXIDE / REPLACEMENT OF BATTERY UNDER WARRANTY

We had purchased 6 batteries model EP 65-12 12v 65Ah from dealer of exide batteries M/s J.P.Electric Corporation, vide inv no 1040 dt 16.08.2011 for our UPS.

During the course of time we found the UPS triping quite often. On contacting the UPS supplier we were informed that one of the batteries is not holding charge and is running down hence it needs replacement.Mean while to have the UPS running we added two more batteries and lodged a complaint with EXIDE on 27.06.2012 vide complaint no STUP 00008412.

ON REPEATED FOLLOW UP AND WITH COMPLAINT TO TH REGIONAL OFFICE THE SERVICE PERSON TURNED UP ON 13.07.2012.A REPORT WAS MADE AND THE SAME WAS HANDED OVER TO US STATING THAT ACTION WILL BE TAKEN FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT.

AGAIN ON REPEATED FOLLOWUP WE WERE INFORMED THAT THE SERVICE DOCKET HAS BEEN CLOSED SINCE WE HAVE ADDED 2 MORE BATTERIES TO THE UPS.

WE DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THE WARRANTY CEASES
1. ON ADDITION OF BATTERIES
2. THERE IS NO SUCH CLAUSE OR INFORMATION
3. IF SUCH A CLAUSE EXISTS THEN WHY THE DEALER HAS NOT BEEN INFORMED, SINCE WE HAVE PURCHASED THE ADDITIONAL BATTAERIS FROM THE SAME DEALER.
4.WHY WAS THIS INFORMATION NOT GIVEN TO US IF THE CLAUSE EXISTS BEFORE ADDING THE BATTRIES.

WE FEEL THAT THE COMPANY DOES NOT WANT TO REPLACE THE BATTERY UNDER WARRANT ANS IS TAKING EXCUSES FOR THE SAME

SUITABLE ACTION REQUIRED
