157 rupees auto-deducted from main balance

Location/place: WEST BENGAL CIRCLE

Name of company/service: AIRTEL

Hi,

Rs. 157 was deducted from my balance for Value pack(Rs99) and Pole Dancers(Rs58) without me subscribing for any of these.

My mobile number, from which the amount was deducted is 8972047923. Please refund back the amount asap.

    I called up the Customer Care but the person was not willing to listen to me. He just kept repeating that it was deducted for the internet service and value pack although I told him that I never subscribed for any of these. When I asked him to escalate the case, he disconnected the phone.

    I sent a mail to [email protected] regarding this two days back, but I haven’t received any response till now.

    This is not the first time when the money has been auto-deducted from my account balance. It seems to have become a great source of income for Airtel.

    I want some strict action to be taken against the company so that they stop this unethical means of generating revenue for themselves.

    Today , the Customer Care person called up and told that the amount was deducted for gprs data used. When I told him that 18 rupees grps pack was activated on it, he told that since the connection was not closed, even after recharging the account with 18 rupees gprs pack, the balance continued to be deducted at 10 paise per 10 kb rate. When I told him that this is a systemic issue, he remained adamant that the balance was deducted correctly. This is really stupid explanation. It seems like he didn’t have any authority or intention to refund back or even listen to what I was telling. This is wrong. Airtel should refund back the amount.
