Flickering problem in compaq presario cq 40

Hi,
A year back i have bought this HP Compaq cq 40 laptop for 35000 INR in Hypercity mall Hyderabad .Nowadays i am getting a thick horizontal noise line at the bottom of the screen and recently the screen is flickering for every 2 seconds.. I went through the internet and to my shock i found that the device itself is faulty and is more proner to the problem said above. Now it costs another 11000INR around to get it serviced with warranty period of 90 days while even this may not resolve the problem as per the reviews i read. I will defenetly not go for another HP product in future but what should i do with the current one .It is very irritating to find such a big company releasing these products instead of knowing that they have faults.As a consumer i have lost faith in these products.Please loop me with the further action taken on the above problem.
