I’m writing regarding my videocon d2h service. This has stopped working since 19th April. I called same day to videocon d2h customer care service. And they confirmed me that the engineer will visit within 24 hrs. After that the following strange things happening:
1. I did not received any call neither any engineer visited within 24 hrs.
2. The first call I received from engineer on 28th April and that time I wasn’t at home and requested him to come next day. He confirmed me that he will come on 29th April and will give me a call in the morning before he arrive.
3. I had to stay at home and did not go on work thinking he will come but he didn’t.
4. Then I called back to d2h customer care service and they informed me that the complain I registered on 19th April has closed by engineer. This was totally strange becsuse I wasn’t informed about this at all. How they can close it without solving the problem?
5. The guy I was speaking with, he registered a new complain against engineer and said this problem will be solved within next 8 working hrs. I.e 29th April.
6. I had to stay at home again on 29th April and did not go on work. But again the engineer didn’t came.
7. I called back to d2h customer care service and they apologied and said it will be solved within 48 to 72 hrs. Becsuse Kolkata 700102 has 48 to 72hrs standard visiting hrs.
8. I asked him, if standard visiting hrs is 48 to 72 hrs then why I was informed that they will come within 24hts at 1st stage. And after that why I was told that he will come within next 8 working hrs. He had no explanation and just kept apologising.
9. After that, I asked him to confirm me an exact date and time of visit as I could not stay home and not go on work in daily basis like this. The guy kept saying that he can not give any exact date and time. What they can do is try to solve the issue as soon as possible.
10. I asked him that, the service is stopped since 19th April and today is 29th April. So do not deduct any amount from my account balance as I’m not using the service becsuse of their fault as they did not visited as per their promised date and time. The guy said he will credit back the amount which has been deducted since 19th April. And told me to not worry.
11. On 2nd may, I had to call them back as since 29th April until 2nd may no one visited and 72 hrs also crossed. And as usable they failed this given time again.
12. And as standard they again apologised and said they will send the engineer on 3rd May by 10am and latest by 1pm.
13. I had to stay at home on 3rd May too expecting that this time engineer will come. I waited until 11am but he didn’t come neither I received any call. Then I called them back and informed about this. A lady received the call and told me to not worry and engineer will visit by 1pm.
14. I waited until 2pm. No one came neither I received any call.
15. I called back informing about it. And as standard they again apologised and said they will take a complain again and will make sure an engineer visit on 4th May.
16. I asked the person’s name with whom I was speaking with so it would have been easier for me for next call. But guy denied to tell me his name. He said he can’t tell me his name.
17. I asked him, when the amount credit confirmation will be sent to me as I had a word with other guy and he said the amount will be credit (see point number 10). This guy said that other guy who told me about amount will not be debited is wrong information. And he provided me wrong information. And he said the amount will keep debited whether I use the service or not.
18. This I find very strange becsuse, you are not giving me the service. It’s stopped since 19th April and you not sending anyone to solve the issue. And you failed your promised date and time repeatedly and I had to bunk by office becsuse your promise date and time and now you will also deduct money from my account balance. Wow. Amazing!!!
19. On 5th May, they said engineer will visit on 6th. They failed. No one came.
20. On 6th May, they said engineer will visit by 6pm. They failed. No one come.
21. On 7th May, they said engineer will visit on 8th by 1pm. They failed no one came.
22. On 8th they said engineer will visit by 6pm. They failed no one come.
23. On 8th night, they said engineer will visit by 10 on 9th May and I’m seating home waiting for engineer to come. And as usable they will fail again today. Let’s see.

Please can you confirm what action should I take against videocon d2h service? Should I go legally?
