I bought Samsung tablet on 17th October, 2016 and it was still under warranty when it failed to restart after discharging on 19th June,2017. I visited Samsung service center at Udhana Darwaja, Surat and submitted tablet for warranty repair under registration number 4239095648 on 20h June, 2017. Next day service center calls me and informs me that warranty cannot be provided because of physical damage. We visit the service center and tell them that there was no physical damage from our end and no mention of physical damage is made on the their own service report. At that time, they change their story and inform us that warranty cannot be provided because of water damage. As per the service center, the water damage is so huge that motherboard, display and battery have all been damaged but there are no external signs of water damage. Now we have not dropped the tablet in water so the excuse of service center to not provide warranty is clearly deceptive to avoid major repairs in the tablet.
I have also contacted Samsung India through their email support and CEO desk but they have refused to help us and are insistent on the story provided by their service center. It does not matter to them that their consumer center flip-flopped regarding their excuse for not providing warranty and there are not external signs of physical or water damage. If water damage is so huge that every component inside the tablet is damaged, then there should some visible signs external to the tablet as well which can be confirmed by customer.
