It’s a huge disappointment to see such a hospital as AMRI salt lake getting degraded in their services day by day . On 19th July my husband had an asthmatic attack and on doctors advice we had to admit him to the ICCU. He had gained stability while admission . We asked the doctor if he really needs to go to the ICCU. The doctor adviced that monitoring is necessary , so he must be admitted to the ICCU itself . We did the formalities and and a ward boy took him to the ICCU . And it was the start of the harassment . The moment he stepped in , sisters started laughing seeing him on feet . The boy told them not to laugh and start the process of admitting him . But they kept laughing and cracking jokes so much that my husband completely embarrassed returned from the Unit and came out . We again took him inside to find they still mocking about him . I complained explaining that nobody comes here by wish . It was by doctors advice . The environment that followed was like a Fish market . They all kept talking loudly and enjoying themselves oblivious of the other patients pain . My husband was not too ill, but he was amazed to see how they were treating other patients. They were completely compassion less and careless. The doctor prescribed some SOS medicine that they gave my husband just like that . When the doctor rebukes them they just kept quite without really bothering about anything . The doctor kept asking them about a certain report but they didn’t provided them . Their attitude was strange . They were giving no heed to the doctor itself . There was a patient beside my husbands bed whom the nurses were hell bent on giving breakfast without insulin dose , while the patient kept telling that he needs that daily . After much tussle they tested him and found that he really needed insulin . We were aghast to find such careless attitude. I will ask everybody I know never to step in that hospital whose most sensitive unit is the most insensitive one . We were relieved when he got discharged and was moved to a single cabin .
