My wife is suffering from a disease which requires Schedule drugs. After visiting our doctor on 16th Jan 2015,, I went to Jupiter Medicals shop on 16th Road, Chembur, Mumbai 400071, to purchase the prescribed tablets.
I showed the salesman the prescription and asked for one strip each of the 2 tablets prescribed. He gave me the tablets, but refused to give me the bill. He said I need to buy the full course of tablets for a longer period. I told him the doctor has been changing the tablets every week for the previous 2 weeks, since wife got jaundice with the earlier prescribed tablets. Still he refused the bill. I returned the tablets and purchased the same tablets with bill from another Chemist shop without any hassle.
After 2 days I returned to the shop to make a formal complaint with the Jupiter Medicals shop owner. Since he was not there , I spoke to the senior salesman. He too refused the bill for the same reason adding that the prescription should be of the same date only. I asked him to give in writing, which he flatly refused. I told him I will be forced to complain to the Consumer forum. To which he shouted back saying that, “Are you trying to threaten me”.
I walked out of the shop in disgust. I am complaining to the Consumer Forum first time at my age of 68Yrs. Trust you will deal with the Shopkeeper, mainly that this should not happen to other persons, and also I have a successful experience with you IN THE FIRST COMPLAIN i HAVE MADE.
Look forward to your response and appropriate action against Jupiter Medicals.
