In the foodcourt (DEL15) in moments mall, I had no choice but to buy a pre-loaded card by making advance payment before being able to buy any eatable. When I bought and tried seeking refund of the balance amount in the card I was told to use it the next time I come to the mall. It so happens that the next time I went I forgot to carry the card and so had to buy another card. After a few months I went to the food court but this time I carried both the cards and when I tried using them they were deemed invalid and so the person refused to refund the value that was stored in it.
After a long argument with the manager (Rajender Singh, his cell no. 9717448980), he agreed to refund the amount by way of issuing me vouchers which I can redeem only by shopping in two specific outlets. When I mentioned that this is highly unfair he admitted but expressed his helplessness. His boss was not available (either in person or on phone) to meet. Rajender also accepted that many customers go through this frustration everyday — almost trying to be on my side. Not everybody has time or knowledge to make a formal complaint. Somebody needs to intervene to check with mal-practice which is highly unfair to consumers.
