My subscriber ID is 1139808875, I bought Tata Sky HD+ setup box on November 02, 2014 with mega HD premium pack. The setup box was fitted in my house the next day, however, while drilling the holes in the wall, the technician drilled the hole tilted and ruined one of the wall. That time I didn’t lodged any formal complaint to the TataSky customer care.
However, post that I ordered an Ethernet cable, the customer care service told me every day that technician is coming in an hour, this went on for one whole week and then I lost my temper and called many higher authorities to get it fixed at my house. Pradeep Pandey, the technician finally landed on morning of November 15, 2014. He behaved very arrogantly and was clearly in a hush to finish his job. I asked him to drill a hole at specific spot to which he denied and drilled at a spot of his choice. But then like the previous technician he also drilled tilted and ruined another wall.
To this I lodged a formal complaint on customer care which said that the matter will be resolved in 24 hours, however I have not yet received any call. Post that I wrote on twitter handle of TataSky when they finally called up. However, they denied any remedy for the damaged walls sitting one of the lame the reason that “We (customer) gave them permission to drill the hole”, Yes we gave them the permission to drill the wall, does that mean that we gave the permission to ruin it?
Also, it’s clearly specified in clause 7.11 of the terms and conditions of TaTa Sky user guide that “We will consult with You on matters regarding Installation. However, considering our expertise in this matter, we shall be the decision making authority on all Installation matters.”
Hence, what stands as off today is that because of the lack of skill of the Tata Sky technician my two walls are ruined. I demand that Tata Sky either repair the ruined wall or repair it at their own expense.
