This being a matter of great DISSATISFACTION and DISBELIEF in the product quality and promises made by a company like HITACHI.
I purchased a 2.0 tr ace cutout split AC in January 2013 from REFRICO Lalbagh Lucknow. The indoor unit of the AC was found defective (Plastic of the indoor unit was cracked ) at the time of unpacking hence it was exchanged by the dealer.
Within two months of the installation the AC started creating problems like very low or no air flow hence I lodged the complaint with Hitachi customer support and after at least 10 reminders the motor and PCB of the indoor unit were changed.
within 15 days the AC again started creating problems and I had to make complaint again. this time also I had to make as many as 10 reminders before the technician came to my rescue n he said this time the motor and PCB of the outdoor unit would be changed n it will take around one week for the part to arrive but to my surprise the parts took good one and a half month to arrive. After changing parts of the outdoor unit AC was put to a close because it was almost the onset of winter.
in June 2014 when the AC was again started it was not working properly (Ice formation in both indoor and outdoor units within 10 minutes of switching on and moreover compressor remained switched on even after switching off the AC by the remote). I made a complaint again, technician came after 12 days n said gas level is down so he topped up the gas n charged me Rs 1700 but the problem remained there, then again I made a complaint in August 2014 and after that irrespective of numerous reminders nobody from HITACHI has contacted me till 28-10-2014.
After all this I can conclude that the company has been very careless in the quality management and after sales services of their products and moreover the technicians (IRFAN the one who came to me) appointed by the company are underrated and arrogant n they don’t even know how to check the equipment. what all they do is change the part of the machine without even checking the machine.
