Hi,
I had a TataDocomo internet account 987072892 for few years and cancelled it in April 2014. I cancelled my service and purchased a tata photon wifi dongles. The dongle did not work even for a single day. So, I cancelled them (waiting for a refund of 2000 rupees for Tata Docomo from April.). After few months in July The customer service suggested that I can reactivate my original account instead of getting a new one.
Ever since the reactivation, the connection NEVER worked. Called customer service several times and no one visited our site. Finally, after repeated calls, I gave up and cancelled the service.
Today I got a call followed by SMS from some weird number (2065000284) asking me to come to court due to lack of payment. SMS!!! with NO COURT DATE or ADDRESS on it.
a) It takes atleast a day or two to reach cancellation department
b) The cancellation department begs you to give few more chances but does nothing to fix the problem.
c) They ask you to make one final payment even if their CONNECTION never works.
d) Finally, they say its cancelled but send no Confirmation.
The entire TataDocomo “Keep Business alive or no commission” concept is being abused and the cancellation department is not performing.
If they can send SMS and emails to harass customers, they should atleast send a SMS or email when cancellation occurs so that we can be sure if cancellation really happened.
Knowing Mr. Tata, his approach to Business, and his professionalism, I am surprised at the professionalism/ethics of the entire TATA DOCOMO company. I am sure, people within the organization are misusing their authority.
I want to make this forum a way to reach out to Mr. Tata to know whats going on behind his back.
In addition, I request the Consumer Forum to
a) Make it mandatory for all companies to send cancellation notices.
b) Penalize companies who charge you money without providing service.
c) Get Tata Docomo to resolve my issue by making sure I am not charged for the service I never received.
d) Take legal action against people behind the phone number 91-2065000284 for misusing and abusing the legal system, falsifying procedures in the name of law.
