3G data connection to pre-paid migration for 9972820145

I wanted to migrate my postpaid Airtel 3G data connection to pre-paid (9972820145). The pre- requisite for the same was to clear the outstanding bill and submit the request form in Airtel Customer Relationship Center. I cleared the bill (as per my billing cycle), then went to the Airtel Customer Relationship Center, Electronic City, Bangalore on 22nd Feb 2014 to submit the form and required documents (photo, ID proof, Address proof). The Airtel Customer Relationship Center executive, Roopa took the form and gave me the receipt. The request number is 1601060 dated 22nd Feb 2014. She informed me, that they will now suspend the connection and then I will receive a call from Airtel on my cell for confirmation. After which in 3- 5 days the request will be processed. Then I will receive an SMS that connection is converted into pre-paid. However, any of this never happened. I never received any confirmation call. Nor did they process my application. I have not been using this connection since February 2014, still Airtel is generating bills every month and sending me.
I have called up the same Airtel Customer Relationship Center some thousand times. The response they give is extremely rude. If sometimes I get lucky then they give lame excuses that I’m not in the center, give your mobile number for a call back, but no call ever comes. They do not pick up my calls anymore.
I also visited the same Airtel Customer Relationship Center with this issue multiple times. There they accepted it is the fault of the department who is supposed to give the “confirmation” call. And they will call me ASAP. Again nothing ever happens.
I call up Airtel 121 customer care, but the only response after hours of frustrated discussions is that they cannot help me and this can done ONLY by Airtel Customer Relationship Center.
I’m totally frustrated and tired of this tennis game happening. I want to know why the hell after 5 months, still no confirmation call, and further processing on this issue is done? And when will it be done? I will not pay a Rupee post 22nd February 2014. As I have the proof of my request being given for suspension and migration.
