I had been paying Rs. 450 to Rs. 600 every month for my post-paid number 9958977066. I had been using this number for past 7 years and did not have any problem till Feb 2014. I suddenly received a text and a call stating that I had to pay Rs. 15000 (fifteen thousand) in March 2014… but for what???? There was no explanation from Airtel Customer Care ….never expected such poor feedback from a Company like Airtel for its loyal customer. I called up a numerous times to sort out the issue. They said that it was for gprs usage and asked me to pay it immediately. The CC person also said that I had a credit limit of Rs. 5000. Then how was it that my bill showed Rs. 15000 without any intimation. I also told them that the unusual amount could be on account of sim card cloning as it is not possible to use such emormous amount of data on an iphone where there had been no downloads. But I received a very cold relpy from them. They even failed to understand the situated. I started getting payment harrashment calls and their collecting agent started reaching my company’s location. Being a female, I had to take precautionary measure to discontinue with the airtel number. Delhi is not safe for females and these collection people reaching my office without informing me seem weird and unprofessional. I cleary want to mention that I have never paid such amount for a phone bill as my past 7 years. Therefore, I claim no a single penny extra(than my usual Rs. 500) for the billed amount and would like airtel to investigate on my unusual usage case rather than just asking for settlement without doing their homework.
