FAKE CALLS FROM DELHI CONSUMER FORUM / DELHI HIGH COURT

Hi All,
I received a call yesterday afternoon from this mobile no. 08505996161 (Idea/ Delhi), the caller told her name is Krishna Devi from Delhi High court. She mentioned my personal details correctly. (Wonder from where she got my details)
She said in a very threatening manner that there was a case filed against me in Delhi High court and they sent me the official notice twice. Also, she mentioned that the case number NW2019 registered against me in Delhi High Court. She gave me the mobile no. of another person, by name Suraj Pratap Singh (08467053507, Reliance-Delhi) and said that he was a Delhi High Court lawyer, who filed this case against me.
The caller (Krishna) told me that I would be receiving a call within 5 mins. However, there was no call.
This seems to be some new kind of scam / fraud, calling up people & threatening them that there is a case being filed against them in High court. While searching through internet I found many such instances reported by other people too.
In case any of you, have received such calls please do not panic & fall into the trap of these fraudulent cheats. Most likely, they will mention your personal details like Father’s name, Residential Address etc. correctly. Please do not argue or get into verbal fight instead speak calmly & try to collect as much information as possible from the caller, Note down the mobile no. from which the call has come.

In case, you continue to receive further calls disturbing you. Please file an online complaint with the Cyber Cell of the Police Dept. in the city of your residence
