Huge Fraud at ICICI, SEC-61 , Shoprix Mall, Noida Branch
We (me and my wife) went to the ICICI Shoprix mall, sec 61 noida branch dated 07.05.2014 and withdraw some amount i.e Rs.3500/- from the ATM. Although the money has been drawn from the ATM but we did not recieve any message. The transaction tooks place at around 8:30-8:45 PM. Suddenly at around 10:00 PM we received a message on my registered mobile showing two transactions of Rs.3500 and Rs. 20,000 from my account whereas no such transaction of Rs.20,000 actually tooks place from my account. For enquiry we go back to the same ATM and inform guard about the incident, he told us that same incident happened in the same ATM on the same day itself i.e around 2:00 PM for he same amount of RS.20,000. Even the guards inform us that cameras are also not working. What a pathetic management of an ICICI ATM room near to the main branch of Sec-61. How this can be done to the middle class customers like us, as 20,000 is the huge amount for us. We tried to call the customer care since 10:00 pm but we are getting same message that due to large no. of callers your call may not be answerer, the pathetic response of the customer care again.
Further I want to share that we went to the ICICI Bank in the morning for addressing our issue but i am very disappointed to say that the response of the people in that branch is highly pathetic. I (Yogesh Mandhyan) went to the bank in the morning in Sec 61 Branch . The response of the staff is like that :
I went to the lady she was not taking my complaint and told me kindly contact customer care. Then i shared her that i have already contact customer care and they told me to visit bank. Then she again start taking excuses and saying ki first go and file an FIR. After that i told him that Police will resister FIR or accept my complaint once i had a complaint no, then she again takes an excuse and told me i ll come back and she went to the mall for some personal work. Then i request Brnach deputy manager M/s Dippy she didn’t entertain me at all, she asked her colleague Ashutosh to help me out, even M/s Dippy was not keen to listen what i am talkin about. For her it seems normal as the same case occur yesterday itself at around 2:00 PM. Then Mr. Ashutosh , i spoke to him and without listening me properly he said its a fraud, just wait for the madam whom i was discussing the matter earlier(Who wents to the mall). So no body was there to listen my plea. I wait for around half an hour for that lady. Finally she came and she register my complaint and told me you may leave now. we will see. I ask them about the footage of the video camera then the deputy manager told me what you will do with the footage, it will take around 7 days for the footages to come. I was shock, what a great management, the two frauds of a huge amount on a single day i.e 07.05.2014 and the bank is saying the footages will be available after 7 days. finally i reached police station and a police person come along with me to the bank(sec 61, ICICI). He again talk to the manager and deputy manager over there and that lady again was with no response saying sir what we can do. The fact to share with you even police had told them yesterday that only single person shall be allowed inside the ATM, and max times two out of three machines are not working inside the ATM but still around 3-4 people are standing inside. Guard is not doing anything and same was the case with us. Around 4 people are there inside the ATM, two machines were not working and guard was also moving inside and outside without asking anybody to go out. Moreover i observe a strange thing that i was standing with my wife inside the ATM, he told me to go out rather than other people who were standing uselessly. It indicates that there may be the involvement of some guard in executing the entire task. As told earlier also, i had a discussion with a guard later in the night once i got sms from ICICI after around 1:30 hr of my transaction of Rs. 3500. Since i recieve both the messages after 1:30 hr of the transaction did by me, it indicates some network issue with the ICICI in sending the SMS, I was standing near the ATM even after 5-10 min having some work in the near by. Had i got the SMS , the same time i can easily plug the culprit there itself. Here again as per what customer care has stated “ICICI Bank shall not be liable to you or any other person for any loss whatsoever whether direct or indirect that you may incur as a consequence of your response to the e-mail in question nor shall be in a position to entertain any claims for compensation”.
So who will be liable for the compensation, It is we the customers who are getting fooled by your ATM machines, where footages are even not available even after 24 hours or It is the Guard whos posted outside your ATMS who don’t have any concern whos standing outside and how many members are standing outside or it is your Bank team who’s supporting such acts without taking pain for the customers and trying giving excuses.
I would like to even pint out that the complaint has been done by many people related to Sec 61, ICICI ATM as such mis-happening also occurs in the past. Some 25k of some old man went away in the same manner last 15 days back. Since he was old, these branch people ask him to come again and again but no response, finally he give up. Kindly stop giving such kind of excuses, rather than looking deeply in helping out the customers.
Let me tell you the other shocking thing about the branch, i spoke to guard yesterday night and he bluntly told me “Sir Hum Kya karen. Aaj dopahar m bhi aisa hua ye, yahan na AC Chalta h na cameras working hain”. Whats this and the same story was repeated y the morning guard. The policeman also told deputy manager and manager over there saying we have already told you many times to sort out this ATM issue and the reply from them were awesome saying ki sir we have complaint many times, but no body listens to us. Also adding to the same she said that ATMS are managed by private firms we don’t have control over them, so footage will be available after 5-7 days as it will come from Mumbai. I am highly disappointed that for the mis-happening/fraud that occurs in Noida, footages are to be arranged from Mumbai and that too after 5-7 days. Great Job by ICICI.We once agaain request you to kindly expedite the matter at the earliest and refund us the amount of Rs.20,000/- which has been deducted due to improper management/misconduct of/in ICICI Banks/ATMs, as if the same has been resolved in the early stages by ICICI bank the problem will be stopped there itself.
