1) I am Sunil MS Vodafone Postpaid Customer in Bangalore using 2G data plan VL 50_300MB.
Vodafone has charged me for extra data usage but i didn’t crossed the limit. i used below 300MB. i confirmed them by showing vodafone DATA BAL message which i got month end. from past 5 months they are making extra charges. i have mobile app that show the internet usage. i compared both vodafone message which i got by DATA BAL and mobile app data log. i got only 2 to 5 MB difference. if i asked about this issue they wavered the amount for two months. after that again continued with samething.
for this month(01/04/14 to 30/04/14) they charged 49.00 RS for wapvilla_ppd 49rs. a stuff which I had never downloaded. When I googled there was no crap coming up for this app. All I ask Vodafone is
1. What rights vodafone has to charge for the app, if at all downloaded.
2. If so share me the website from which I downloaded
3. How many kb was downloaded to charge Rs 99
When I called their Customer Forum for explanation, they had no proper explanation. My contact no. is +919739033085

As I go through your post, I find that we all have been charged an unknown wapvilla charge by Vodafone. Instead of complaining individually, why can’t we all stand together and file a complaint. I am ready to join legal action against Vodafone, if we all keep complaining there won’t be any resolution. I am sending message to all other folks on the Vodafone FB page to see if we all can join. Let me know your thoughts.

I hve activated Vodafone Red 899 plan in my vodafone postpaid connection from the month of October. My bill generation date is 27th of every month. In the month of October”14 when my bill was generated I noticed Vodafone has charged me Rs. 98(Rs. 48 each) for downloding from wapvilla_ppd, though I hve downloaded nothing from this site. When I asked fr an explanation from Vodafone they told dat I have downloaded contents from this site, though I didnt. They could not provide any proper explanation. This is really annoyaning. When i called to vodafone customer care and asked for the websites lists from which these are getting downloaded,they are not ready to provide any such details.They are simply telling that you have downloaded.Even if i see downloaded files size,all are 0kb.How someone can be charged for downloading 0 kb data.!!?

In my current bill 01.11.14-30.11.14 generated on 01.12.14 Vodafone has charged me Rs 114( Rs 30 for hello1_tvallsouth,Rs 49 for wapvilla_ppd and Rs 35 for biscoot_ I don’t have any idea what are these.
I called customer care on 198 on 3rd Dec 2014 from my number, but the representative could not explain what are these applications and neither take my complaint.Vodafone is cheating people. Please take corrective measure immediately.

I am also facing this fraud charges of vodafone last month they have charged RS 226/- and again this month Rs 495/- And there customer executive did’nt reply properly. I am going to consumer court. I will not spare them

Again in this month bill I have been charged Rs 15 for downloading d2c_astro_v****** .
While Vodafone reverted my charges 3-4 times earlier, this time they are not reverting the charges.
I have kept all TRAI ids’s in To ,but Vodafone has not revert my charges.
Also, no response from any of these TRAI ids.
I have sent email to Nodal officer and appellate id

Let’s see if there is any correction.

OMG !! I am charged whooping 390 bucks for these wapvilla_ppd downloads which they claim that any ad link which is paid then I will be charged. This is ridiculous, ads are supposed to be for showing the product not for deducting money because I saw they have a product. Are they showing Sunny Leone pics that they can charge me just for the sake of seeing. I am going to consumer court if they are not reverting my charges.

They will revert charges after writing few emails , but then they keep adding these charges in next bills and finally after 2-3 times. they will stop reverting these charges as I have experienced.
