not upgrading my membership even after passing diploma

Dear sir
i am doing amie sec A after 10 2 from 2008 , and i have passed four main exams , i also completed diploma (mech) in 2012 and now i want to upgrade my membership so send my diploma to iei , but they not accepted it and telling u have to attach three years diploma but i have two years diploma because after passing 10 2 there is only two years diploma in IME. My mem. No is T151081-2 . The reply of iei is as ………

Please refer to your application for upgradation from Technician to Senior Technician Membership of the Institution.
If you have got the exemption in all subjects of Part I of Technician Engineers Examination and have passed only Part II of Technician Engineers Examination, then, your qualification of passing of Part II of the Technician EngineersExamination is not accepted by IEI for upgradation fromTechnician to Senior Technicianmembership at present.
You will remain as a T member and have to clear both Section A and Sec B Exam.s
