No Activation

Location/place: Mumbai

Name of company/service: Vodafone

I purchased a vodafone pre-paid sim yesterday, 01-Aug-2013 at around 5:30 PM and was promised that it would be activated within 6 hours. It has now been over 15 hours and the sim has not been registered yet.
This has caused quite an inconvenience for someone new to the country without a sim as I need to travel today itself in an hour’s time. I am now forced to cancel my tickets and change my entire travel itinerary.
Shame!
