Our vehicle Toyota Innova (Reg. No. AP 5TU 1234) has met with an accident on 25-01-2013 at 2.12 PM near III Town Police Station, Rajahmundry. Immediately it has been intimated to the Insurer “The New India Assurance Company Limited” Branch Manager, Kakinada and arranged for spot survey. Followed by the spot survey the vehicle was toed to the nearest Toyota service center, Rajahmundry. As a process a week later, the insurer has arranged surveyor to inspect the vehicle followed by the spot survey at the service center and noticed that the vehicle was dismantled and thereby raised an objection to continue on inspection. And reported as Vehicle Dismantled before inspection. Now to reimburse our Insurance claim the Branch Manager of New India Assurance, Kakinada is demanding us to issue a letter stating that “we as a vehicle owner instructed the Toyota service engineer to dismantle the vehicle before the surveyor inspection took place” which is not correct. In this regard we have already raised an objection and escalated the matter to Toyota India (Online complaint) but there is no proper response till date. In view of all the above actions, now the claim is kept on hold for more than 5 months, with a low reimbursement value on the total loss claimed. We demand for your intervention in this regard and do the needful immediately as we have already paid the amount to the authorized dealer Leela Krishna Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. for an amount of Rs. 1.47 lacs (approx).
