I bought Airtel DTH new connection online with the hope that it gets delivered faster (within 24 hours) as per their advertisement. Here all my bad time started. I booked connection online HD+ and paid Rs 3300 online on 16-July-2013. I got customer ID 3012902879 after successful transaction. I noticed that my mobile number’s last digit is missing when I saw details displayed after paying online. I immediately called customer care within 5 minutes and got corrected. From 18-July-13 I started following up about delivery of set-top box and installation. Until today 21-Jul-13 afternoon I have wasted almost 10 hours over phone calling customer care and enquiring about the same.
Everytime I get promise that it would get done in 24 hours but that 24 hours never came. I have gone so much metal agony and waste of time following up this issues with airtel customer care number. I have never faced such pathetic service in my life from any service provider. I never imagined that Airtel being bigger player in this market may have such disorganized online purchase mechanism. Neither I am getting installation done nor anyone is able to explain me how to cancel this.
This is very horrible experience from Airtel which I never imagined.
I have all call records which I made to airtel from last 5 days and wasted my almost 10 productive hours following up with Airtel customer care with no solution except promise each time.
I am planning to go consumer court if this does not happen by today on the ground false promises made each time and not giving me real picture when it will happen. At the same time lack of services promised.
