ICICI Bank – ATM Fraud

I wanted to lodge a complaint for ICICI Bank.

There is an un-authorized withdrawal of Rs 25000 from my ICICI ATM on 15-May-2013. The ATM machines are located at ICICI Bank, Sec 18, Noida Branch.

I am following up with the bank for last 2 months and the only response I am getting is that I compromised my ATM & Pin so it is my responsibility. I have all the mail communication from different departments (Quality, Senior Management, Nodal Office-North) of ICICI Bank.

They even called me that they noted my feedback/points so that such incident won’t happen again but not ready to accept that they are at fault in this case. (please see the mail chain below)

There are some of the key points which Bank is failing to accept

1. The ATM connection was active on two different machines at the same time at the same location. Which is basic security check for any system.

2. This is the case of shoulder surfing while I was doing a transaction which is due to the fact that all ATM’s are in line with hardly any GAP between them. So Bank didn’t provide a secured environment for the customers.

These point if taken into consideration would have saved me from this.

As Bank is not helping me, looking for the support here.
