I have been using airtel broadband ( airtel number – 080-41650949 ) from past 8 years and in past 2 months Airtel has completely lost my confidence in giving me any good experience and scamming me in daylight.
Note – I have 8mbps FUP 80gb that is 8000 divided by 8 = 1000kbps download speed.
I ask the technician im getting exact 350kbps download speed in torrent it should be 1000kbps they argue with me that my computer has virus, the ” website ” is slow they just keep giving excuses the speed has been hampered by airtel all torrents download at same exact speed 350kbps.
June – Complaint number – 34132920 – The modem was not working from june 16th, filed a complaint on same day,they took 6 days to fix it.The technician says he knew it was the modem adapter charged me 250rs for it when it says MRP – 120rs, Constant Modem disconnection even after giving complaint prior to june close to 8 times nothing has been done other than modem firmware update which made it even more worse i get disconnected more than 5 times in 7 – 8 minutes.
July first week – I give a complaint for modem disconnection again they took 1 week to respond to the complaint the technician says he will come at 9am and does not turn up then next day he says he will come at 1pm and comes at 3pm says he fixed it he leaves and the disconnect continues.
To add to the disconnection more problems –
July – I have apparently gone above the Limit of 80gb i have no problem with that, but why sell the connection saying its unlimited now im just left to use facebook as the speed reduces from 8mbps to 512kbps ( 8000 kbps to 512kbps ).I’m having such a difficult time to download a 20mb file to edit for my client it takes me 70min to download a 20mb file this is clearly not 512kbps ( 512kbps divided by 8 = 64kbps), i have had 512kbps before i know the difference of using internet why is the FUP Speed 8mbps to 512kbps? a 50% FUP or 60% is understandably who gives airtel rights to slash 8mbps 1000kbps download speed to 512kbps and to make it worse the disconnection continues and redirects any link i open it takes close to 3min to open a website gets disconnected and then redirects that page to airtel smartbytes. im losing my time and patience here.
I have enrolled for online classes and im a web development freelancer i have to upload to my clients server or download files to fix the codes, this has severely hit me psychologically Paying 1,700rs for harassment and scams in 2months and not getting anything by it im left waiting to download 2gb class videos taking 6hours hence i can not watch the classes live.
I have had it with Airtel Broadband either provide me with a connection without FUP or contact me to remove the connection.
I can see BBNL providing 10mbps without FUP how are they doing it and airtel scaming.
