Mentally harassment

Location/place: Bangalore

Name of company/service: Aitel Broadband

Dear Team,

I am used Airtel broadband connection for almost 4 Years and did not had any issues. I left Bangalore in December and called customer care to disconnect my connection he gave me so many schemes and offer even though I was telling no boss I don’t want to continue as I am not aware in which are I would be taking home and after a conversation of almost 15-20 Minutes he suggested for something call safe custody. And my reply was same, but he was not at all taking my request to disconnect it. He told me that sir there is no charge to take it in safe custody if you don’t want we will disconnect it later.
Still my reply was same, he was forcing me to take it in safe custody. Finally i told that i don’t any issue later and there should not be any charge for this service. He said ‘ok’ sir.

As soon as i settled at my new place i got call from customer care(February 2013) regarding safe custody, i replied there is no proper connectivity in the area i am staying, can you please disconnect my connection and all services. he replied ‘Ok’.
Next month (March, 2013) again i got the call from customer care for the same reason and we had same conversation. he said ‘ok’.
I am a regular user of 8040936840 & have paid all bills promptly.

Suddenly in April,2013 again i got a call from customer care fro the same reason but this time he requested me to pay the last bill as well. I was surprised as i paid all my pending bills and replied same to CC. He said sir this charge is for safe custody.
i was totally shocked and told him, first thing it was told me that it is free and i already requested two times to disconnect my airtel number and services. Then CC’s reply was another surprise for me that, he replied that sir safe custody was free only for three months. And to cancel this request you have to call the 121 and raise a request.

And this make me to think being a good and well known telecom company, how can they use such kind of tricks to make money. i spoke to seiner executive and issue was resolved. Post that i have also called to 121 and requested again to discontinue all the services with Airtel and asked the reference number as well.

Safe custody – 29937546
Cancellation request – 43036451

I though that was a misunderstanding and resolved now, but i was wrong. In June, 2013 i got call from some number saying he is an advocate and Airtel registered a case against me and i got a mail for the same. I replied to the mail and requested them don’t torture your customer such a way.
And i have also enquired and came to know that number from which i got the call was someone from Airtel.

It was not over here, today(08 July, 2013) again i got a call from some number saying Advocate Swati from Delhi, there is a case against me and i have to pay the remaining bill amount. When i asked for the notice she replied we have sent you long back, but till now i have not received any notice.

It is a kind of mentally torture to a customer from Airtel. This is very unprofessional of Airtel & had expected better! The use of threatening mechanisms is even more shameful!!!

Firstly, it is due to Airtel’s fault that my connection did not get disconnected. Then they keep calling me asking to pay my bills, & whenever I explain they agreed. And after all this, finally they threaten to pull me to court if I don’t pay bills for services I haven’t even used!!!

Please do the needful to get out from this torture and harassment.
