Location/place: Vadodara
Name of company/service: IDBI Bank
I had taken a Home loan from IDBI Home finance, Vadodara (At present it merged with IDBI Bank) in the year 2006 to be repayable in monthly installments thro Post Dated Cheques (P.D.C.).My Home loan A/C No. is 0021675100004750 with IDBI Bank Ld.,RAC,2nd floor, Garg Plaza,46/A Gautam Nagar, R.C.Road, Vadodara. I am paying regularly installment from the beginning. Every time I had deposited PDC in advance. Vide their letter Vadodara/65/2012-13Dtd.30.10.2012 they informed me to replaced your non CTS2010 Standard cheques with CTS-2010 Standard cheques before 15.12.2012 as per guide line given by Reserve Bank of India vide circular DPSS.CO.CHD.No./399/04.07.05/2011-13 Dtd.03.09.2012. Accordingly, I replaced remaining cheque with new one as per CTS-2010 and submitted at IDBI Bank on Dtd.17.11.2012.They have given me PDC Acknowledgement.(There is typing mistake in column of Cheque Date.Pl. read Date 30.11.2013 instead of 30.11.12).In the month of April-13,I received a call from the call centre regarding the payment of EMI for the month March-13.I told them that I have already submitted the PDC upto Month Nov.-13. After 2-3 days, I received a call from their executive for payment of EMI then I told him that I have submitted all PDC and you have given me the acknowledgement. He told me that we are unable to find out the cheque so submit the fresh cheque. I told him that I am posted at Limbdi (Distt.Surendranagar) and I will submit the cheque when I will visit the Vadodara in coming week. He said O.K. Then between 20 to 22 April-13(exact date not known to me now) I have submitted the cheque to Mr. Sanjay Shah (executive of IDBI Bank) and same was deducted from my account on Dtd.23.04.13.At the time of submission I request him that this is not my fault for late submission of cheque. Fault from IDBI bank so no penalty should imposed to me. However to my surprise I received a letter Dtd.14.06.13 from them stating that I will have to pay Rs.54/- as irregular payment of installment within 03 days from receipt of this letter otherwise any delay in payment of the above overdue amount will attract penal charges at the rate of 5%.In spite of telephonic conversation and personally met with their executive Mr. Shah they have not responded to solve the problem. At last I compelled to pay the said amount. Which neither am I liable nor responsible. Rs. 54/- is not the big amount but the way they have collected the money is not correct. Therefore you are requested to kindly assist me as early as possible. Thanking you.
