Dear forum i am painfully submitting my complain which i have send in reply to a demand notice from tikona care. Please help me in this.

Its very unpleasant to get this demand notice from tikona after discussing several times with tikona customer care about the issue where i have been assured about the resolvement of the billing case.

that i have taken a connection of ADULM 2048 on june 17 jun 2012, where i have given assurance bandwidth of upload 256 kbps and download about 2 mbps.
during demo only i got good bandwidth but during actual use i use to get only 20 kbps upload & 1 mbps download on average.

that i reported almost everyday during my 1st month which can be verified from call records in customer & tech support database, i got standard connection speed only 5-6 days on 1st month only. i could not call my contacts abroad even on skype also. inspite of requesting to resolve the matter permanently nothing turned out. even if they use to visit it would be late maybe sometimes around 9 p.m. also where i need to hold back in my office, even doing all these which i never imagined, the next day it would have been the same bandwidth isuue with mere 20-25 kbps upload. everyday they will make some issues to explain the poor connectivity issues.

that when i took the connection i paid 1 month rent in advance valid thru june to july 2012.i got a bill on august 2012 demanding 2 thousand plus as bill. i asked for verification on same and refund of money due to technical inability issue to tikona customer care, where they assured to get back with a resolution.

that due to inefficient & poor net connection i compelled to close my office only because of tikona, i moved out from office and told tikona care to prepare final bill where i demanded adjustment of money for inability to provide proper service throughout 1 st month for which i called tikona care everyday to resolve the problem, plus adjustment of advance rent.

that i informed tikona care to disconnect the connection unless the bill problem is issued, even asked cust. care if i need to put in papers, which they told not necessary as they are working on the request dedicatedly through tikona server.

that tikona called me personally to collect back their modem and apparatus around sep 2012, where i ask for confirmation if they discontinued my service, they told that its obvious the line is disconnected otherwise they will not take back the modem. they confirmed me the day to collect my modem where i informed that since i close the office on august only after facing harrasment due to internet connection issues, so they can go and collect it from the house owner who is also using tikona connection in his premises & if they face any problem they should get back to me immediately otherwise no need to call back. they confirmed me the matter thereafter.

inspite of such suffering for the service which i paid for & for which i am eligible, i never approached the consumer court of forum against tikona ever, but for the bill issue of mere 2000 plus which need to be sorted out by request from my side, tikona maligned me in the name of demand notice where as a service provider they have the right to ask for billing but not accountable for the extreme pain and huge monetary loss & reputation that i lost towards my client base, then why i will not have the right to say my views of the inconvenience i suffered because of tikona.

that on regular basis i am getting calls from delhi now for billing issues and court proceedings, although i contacted tikona care in between about the matter and conveyed to the advocate representing tikona from delhi, where i explined the billing issues who told to get back to tikona and sort it out and get back to me, even when i contacted tikona kolkata they harrased me by saying that the bill is 2000 plus because i have 2 accounts with tikona, which is a huge shock to me, i tried to tell him that i have only 1 account bill to pay not 2, but they arogantly & rudely said that 1st clear the money then will look into the matter.

with all these still going on i got a call again from delhi warning to deal with the matter, so i contacted today again to tikona cust. care where they assured a resolution.

even i found tikona made a system bill of nov 2012 (quoted as “We will consider waiver of Rs 292. on your total Outstanding Rs. 2470, provided you make Payment of Rs. 2178 within 7 days of receipt of this letter”) and a demand for modem in case, that means although my connection stopped as per tikona care around sep 2012 as the bill issue was not resolved till sep 2012 and which led them to collect modem thereafter on sep-oct 2012. i am highly frustated and clueless of exactly whats going on around.

so i need a final bill once again with
adjustment of prepaid rental as on aug 2012,
non serviceable connection for 22 – 25 days in 1st month,
refund issue on tech issue for service inability.

    Dear sir

    Same kind of illegal notice for demand is sent by this fraudulant company to me.
    I am collecting the evidences against this company thrugh consumer forums and very soon I will launch a PIL against this company.
    i request the people to send me their cases and contact numbers at my mail id . I will collectively produce all the harassment evidences and we will ask collective damage from this company.
    I am NRI ,and the dates for which this company is asking me money is totally illegal because connection was prepaid and installation charges was given by me as well as the modem was taken away by the executive.

    I will definitely ask my lawyer to teach a lesson for this fraudulent company by court,because immediately after my first request of disconnection .i was shifted to Africa,from that day till now they are sending me fake bills

    Sub: Your Tikona Service ID No 1104014218 & Billing Account Number 115346999

    Dear Customer,

    We wish to draw your kind attention to the following facts :

    That Tikona Digital Networks Pvt. Limited is a body corporate duly registered under the Companies Act, 1956, and in business of providing Internet services.
    That you have subscribed the internet Services being provided by us on the terms and conditions as laid down in the subscriber registration Form (SRF) which was duly read acknowledged and signed by you
    That in lieu of the internet services availed under this agreement and the devices provided to you, we have from time to time sent you bills for the same.
    In view of the non-payment of the bills, you have also been reminded through telephone calls and SMS messages to make payment of the bills sent to you. However, in spite of several such demands and reminders, you have failed and neglected to pay the amounts of outstanding bills aggregating to Rs. 1346. In accordance with the terms and conditions of the SRF, you were under an obligation inter-alia to make payment of periodic bills raised upon you in respect of services availed by you. However, in spite of the receipt of Statement of Usage from us, you have grossly failed to make said payments.
    As per our computerized billing records you have used services up to .with your Last Session ending 9/10/2011. Your Outstanding amount upto the Last Usage Date is Rs.1346 considering applicable Charges only up to 9/10/2011.
    We will consider waiver of Rs 153. on your total Outstanding Rs. 1346, provided you make Payment of Rs.1193 within 7 days of receipt of this letter
    In addition to above , you shall be required to pay Rs. 1500 in case you fail to return Modem along with all accessories to our authorized representative .

    Please refer to Para 23 of Terms and conditions of the subscription, an extract is appended below

    “In case of service discontinuation, the subscriber shall compulsorily return all the modems in working condition. In the event of subscriber not being able to deliver the modem to the company, for reasons attributable to their action/account, the modems would be assumed to be permanently undeliverable to any person including the company. In such an event, including a case where the modems are delivered by the subscriber in non-working conditions, the company would charge the subscriber 1500 per modem not returned or returned in non-working conditions towards penalty/damages for breach of the terms of service. This is applicable for all plans.

    Please note that the Modem provided by Tikona and installed in your premises is a wireless transmitter imported by the company under a license issued by WPC wing, Department of Telecom, Government of India. Possession of such equipment, under your ostensible charge, is prohibited under THE INDIAN WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY ACT 1933 ACT XVII OF 1933.

    You are requested to make immediate payment of Rs.1193 and give you this notice, that if you fail to pay, the aforesaid sum thereon within 7 days we shall have no option, but to adopt appropriate recovery proceedings, inclusive of legal proceedings criminal as well as civil, against you at your entire risk as to costs and consequences.

    This reply is addressed to the Tikona Broadband Services for the same kind of Demand Notices that you guys has sent to me.Actually I want to ask you guys whether it is legitimate to ask for due bill payment for the services that they haven’t availed and harassing the customer by sending Demand Notices every now and then.I request Tikona services to stop doing such kind of things and instead look after the services you offer to the customers.
    “Damn you guys really need to improve upon your services otherwise the whole credibility of the company would be at stake”.

    Hi Friends,
    I am also a victim like this.

    I really do not if the Legal law can help us to stop paying for the ‘PrePaid’ connections, when we don’t use them. They call it as prepaid and install when we PAY the amount and it becomes money tree for them and keep on charging though it is a ‘prepaid’ connection. I think Tikona alone had new true meaning for ‘PrePaid’ connection in this Country.

    Couple of weeks back, a person claiming that Advocate called and told me that the summons will be issued if I don’t pay and I am not forcing you to pay. I don’t understand what kind of a Democracy is this. They don’t consider the opinion of Customer at all.

    God, please save us & India.

    Hi,

    I also stay in Johri Farm, Jamia nagar and am facing similar issues with Tikona. Services barely accessible. But when it comes to drawing money the customer care team is ready for service. Technical service is barely accessible and phone hanges up multiple times.

    Pathetic service. People in Jamia please avoid this connection.

Tikona is a fraud company and completely cheating the customer.My tikona customer id is 1110917266.I have paid them 3 months advance payment and after 2 weeks of using services I decided to terminate the services due to worst service provided by Tikona.they took more than one month to terminate and finally they sent me a mail that you will not get any refund because they want me to continue with the services even if it is worst service and regularly pay them the charges.I request all customer,please dont go for the Tikona service.Please
