I had a Tata Photon service and I cancelled it on 9th January 2013 because I lost
the device. I got the confirmation number for the cancellation which is 343783863. I
got an SMS on 23rd January 2013 intimating me the cancellation is done.
After couple of days, I called them up again on 1800266121 to re-confirm the
cancellation and subsequent bills, they said, it is already cancelled and you won’t
be receiving any bills.
Later after a month, I received the bill again for February 2013. When I called up
the customer service, they said, nothing is outstanding and they cancelled the
service. He also told me that I won’t be receiving any more bills. To my surprise, I
got the bill again in March 2013 & April 2013 and same reply from Customer Care. One
day a collection agent came at my home, I provided all the details to him and he
said he will take care of this. His contact nos are 91-9860671795 & 91-9860672015.
Now, to my surprise I got a notice from legal department saying I have an
outstanding bill amount of Rs.2573 and should pay it immediately. Otherwise, they
are going to file a case.
When I tried to reach to a collection agent, he does not pick a phone and disconnects. I called customer care, he said your service was continued since you haven’t confirmed the cancellation and it got discontinued in May. After that he disconnect the call.
Even after receiving confirmation SMS and verified with customer care they are not cancelled the services and keep sending bills. Isn’t this ridiculous? What kind of confirmation do they need ? TATA is doing fraud and cheating it’s customers badly and they file case against them for fraud, sounds disgusting!
