I had taken a Matrix connection for my son who proceeded for studies in the US. They made us sign a two year contract which spoke of ETF early termination fee but did not mention anything about one month advance rent and also the deposit amount they took from us. Now my son is in India for 3 1/2 months and have been writing to them to deactivate the internet on his mobile since they cannot disconnect the line, at least that would save $30 rental pm for me. Matrix refuses to do it and AT&T said it is possible but they need the billing code for the same. Matrix refuses to give it. Now I want to come out of the contract but they just don’t want to tell us how to go about it. This is costing me money unnecessarily when my son is not using the SIM. They have trapped us in this and not letting us come out though it is possible to come out of the contract. This amounts to cheating and resorting to fraudulent means of making money. I seek compensation for all the stress and the amount I am spending unnecessarily on data plan which Is not being used at all
