I used DTDC Courier services on Chandavarkar Lane, Borivali West (Consignment no V12241972) on Saturday, 1st June 2013 using their express service to deliver a package to Ghaziabad. They charged me Rs 250 and assured it would reach on Monday, 3 June 2013 since it was express delivery. But the package didn’t reach the destination on Monday and instead reached on Tuesday, for which I would have had to pay a normal delivery of Rs 180/-
When I called the customer care in Mumbai (02233004444) an extremely rude and discourteous executive Kalpesh not only offered no help but banged the phone down after talking very rudely.
Finally the lady who sent the courier out gave such a lame ‘the dog ate my homework’ kind of excuse that the courier guy did go to deliver on Monday but met with an accident! Even an idiot could tell that she was lying. And she had the audacity to ask me to call at the Ghaziabad office to confirm the incident. These were very important documents that absolutely HAD to reach on Monday. And when asked why did they charge Rs 250 if they were going to deliver only on Tuesday, she said the service was for 48 hour delivery so it would have anyway reached on Tuesday and not Monday. Whereas at the time of delivery she clearly mentioned it would reach on Monday since it was the express delivery.
Why should I believe such a crappy service that charges so much money when I can get better services from a nondescript courier company instead?
