Sub.: Report of very serious grievance caused by M/S AGARWAL PACKERS & MOVERS (DRS GROUP)
Dear Sir,
I am 68 yrs. old, a retired person from a college in U.P. I travelled far and wide within the country and have also been NRI for several years. I shifted my households thru different agencies many times in my life. Finally, we have permanently shifted to Secunderabad.
We booked our two consignments (households) on 01st & 02nd April’13 thru the captioned DRS Group, Regd. Office: 220, Kabra Complex, 61 MG Road, Secunderabad trusting this company as well-recognized but we found it a blunder as this company proved itself highly irresponsible. We are totally in a mess and can’t decide what to do next.
We shall be very very grateful to you for the publication of this torture done by DRS.
• Our households are damaged at such high rate in transit that 45 items are badly damaged out of which 14 items not in condition of any repairs; and 04 items got missing having high value. This damage was caused due to shifting of goods many times on the way in different carriers, though we were charged heavily for sending our material by the only ONE and SAME carrier upto destination.
• Supervisor did not come to assess our loss even more than 1 ½ months passed after delivery.
• There is no visit of claim Inspector till now.
• Only one available source of contact is Mr. Pandu Rangam-Branch Head (Mob.-9391014315).
• One carpenter – Mr. Laxman came two times and polished two sofa sets and petty furniture items.
• He carried with him for repair two iron almirahs, one sewing machine with cover, one sofa chair, iron box, one wooden chowki – all in highly damaged condition on 26.04.’13.
• He never returned with these items after repair though more than a month has passed.
• Admin. People of the company are simply passing time. Mr. Reddy Saheb – Country Head, Customer Support Services, seldom bothered to reply our e-mails (copies attached).
• We feel greatly humiliated with no satisfying action after calling to Mr. Pandu Rangam at least once every day resultant to only his false assurances of resolving the matter –‘TOMORROW’ or ‘NEXT MONDAY’.
• Moreover, we are highly disturbed and shocked, we could not settle down properly till now with our damaged items and have been waiting for repair / compensation.
• The households were insured for Rs. 3,00,000/- for one consignment and Rs. 1,30,000/- for the second. This company chopped the Insurance amount @ 3% of declared value – Rs.12,900/- without getting the goods insured by any established, well-recognized Insurance Company from where we could have claimed the compensation of damages and loss of items.
• DRS charged us full amount of services – Rs. 1,57,978/- in advance which is not at all judicious. The customer should be allowed to retain 50% or at least 25% as a guarantee of satisfactory completion of services till delivery.
• The worst and the most strange and disheartening point about this company is that requesting directly to the MD of company thru a registered letter on 16.05.’13 for resolving this problem has also been without any response till now.
