Dear Sir/Ma’am,
I would request you to please find below two trail mails w.r.t. order for Sony Xperia Ion (Black) phone ordered by me on http://shopping.indiatimes.com. As the mails are self explanatory, I placed the order on 12.04.2013 but a week later I was contact by one of their representative saying that the said product is now out of stock & requested me to accept another color of the same model or cancel my order.
As I wanted the product in Black color only, I refused the option of other color. Also, I didn’t wanted to cancel the order as on other website/retailers the same product was approx. INR 2,000/- costlier (for price reference please check this link: http://www.sony.co.in/product/xperia+ion). The customer care representative also registered a case id 817974 and told me that they will arrange the product shortly & will intimate me accordingly.
However, today i.e. on 26.04.2013 again I got a call saying that they are not able to arrange the product in Black color and I have to cancel my order. When I asked them that, cancellation of this order & buying the same model from else where will cost me additional INR 2,000/- So are they ready to refund me additional INR 2,000/- as compensation so that I can buy my phone, they had no reply to this.
Thus in view of above, I would like to request you to kindly help me in the matter so that I can get the product or appropriate compensation.
(Note: In order confirmation mail total is reflecting as INR 21,490/- but I used a discount coupon on website and final cost which was debited from my account was INR 19,770/-)

The reason I placed the order on your website was:
1. Your website was showing that the said product is IN STOCK when I placed the order.
2. You were offering the said product at a very good price, which I appreciate a lot!
Now coming to the reason why I’m writing this mail is, today i.e. after more than one week of placing the order one of ur official contacted me via telephone and informed that the model I ordered is NOW out of stock and your company will not be able to deliver the same, instead she offered me to accept another color of the same model i.e. Black and Red color, which I refused straightaway!
You are requested to kindly intimate me the current status of my order i.e. will you be able to deliver me the phone as per original order placed by me or not?
Also in case you are not able to deliver the product as per original order placed by me, I will be incurring a financial loss of more than INR 2,000/- as when I ordered the phone on your website it was costing me INR 19,770/- with 6 month EMI option. Now as on date if I order the same phone from any other website it will cost me approx. INR 22,000/- with similar payment option. So in case of cancellation of order will your company bear this financial loss?
In view of above, kindly take the matter on urgent basis as more than one week has passed since I have placed the order and still nothing is clear whether I will ever get the phone I ordered!
This was my first shopping experience on your website and I’m really sorry to say but this is highly unprofessional practice from your company’s end.
