I am writing this complaint after trying every possible way to sort things out with Airtel representatives.
I took an Airtel broadband connection with landline no. 08042198540 which I used for couple of months and asked them to disconnect the same. I registered various cancellation requests and I received a call to confirm its been disconnected but I kept getting bills for 2-months. After the bill came around 2560 they started calling me and asking to make the payment. I explained them that I have cancelled the connection and havent used it for 2-months. After a lot of discussions about the same they stopped calling me and line was disconnected. But I started getting calls again for the payment and I kept explaining them again finally I got a call from Reactivation team who gave me an offer If I reactivate my connection they will provide me a waiver of 1500/- and gift vouchers of 1000/- and It was made clear to me that I do not have to pay anything after the payment of Rs.1000/- once the line is active and the reference no. for this commitment was no: 29188310,
My line got activated with new landline no. 080420941861 in the month of March 2013 as per what we agreed I made the payment for Rs.1000/ Transaction no.307334174 but Airtel didnt keep their promise and I didnt get any waiver from them and I didnt get any gift vouchers to my surprise they barred my landline and I kept calling them numerous times and explaining them about the commitment made and the line was unbarred but again after a day or two they barred the line asking me to pay the outstanding Amount of Rs.1500/-
I had to call Airtel each day explain them about the waiver promised to me and I was given various complaint nos. But no action was taken these are few Reference nos: 29646256,228688702,29953832,30192162,30292004.
and after so much of run around they gave me a waiver of just Rs.200 also Assured me the remaining waiver will be given on the next bill and I though there is some kind of hope but Again after two days they barred both incoming and outgoing it was like back to square one now I am calling airtel nobody wants to listen and they just not willing to release my services which is really disappointing and I would never recommend airtel service to any of my friends or family.
Why should I pay for something I haven’t used? AirTel just kept building up the bill amount and now they are asking me to pay by barring my services. This is really frustrating I never had such kind of service from other service providers I had being with
Moreover, after all the discussion, when I asked them to disconnect my current connection (as I am not able to use it), they said they would apply the waiver and release my service which is not happen till now. I have been waiting and waiting. Airtel only can make false promise and trouble people they are not really concerned about their customers.
I think I made a big mistake my reactivating my line, I am making this last effort writing this mail hoping some positive response this time.
