I have purchased a Samsung Galaxy S2 Handset on 06/05/2012 from Cariano Next, Kamla Nagar. Within first month of purchase I started facing network problem on my handset. I went to samsung service centre and they repaired my handset. In last 8 months my handset has been repaired 3 times but the problem was not resolved. Now when I went there for the 4th time they told me that my handset can’’t be repaired because it is tampered . My only point is that if they cant provide the services within warranty period than what is the point of misleading customers with wrong promises. With this mal-practice they can easily tell anyone that the product is not under warranty any more. And as most of the customers are non-technical they can never prove the company officials wrong.
I would like to bring some points to your notice.
1) The problem in the handset started from the first month of purchase. At that time I was told that handset can only be replace if the problem arouse within the first 15 days and now it can only get repaired. In last 8 months I have get my handset 3 times repaired. Is this the kind of quality these companies promise for ??
2) They could have changed the motherboard of the handset at the first time, but they hit and tried at my handset because they were not able to locate the fault. First they changed the SUB-PBA, than updated my software, than told me to change from vodafone to airtel and so on. Is this the kind of training provided to the service centre’s ??
3) Put anyone in my place and ask this question, when I have 3-4 months of warranty left with my handset, why would I get it checked from outside when i know it will be repaired free of cost at the service centre. Is it the way to harass customer after failing to provide the warranty ??
I have tried complain to every department in samsung and at last they agree to give me 20% discount on the repair charges.
Just wanted to spread awareness to all the consumers about how a company can make a fool of you after promising to give a warranty of 1 year.
